Trimming Required
Wow... Welcome to the Canadian Army, where equipment is second to everyone and our computers are as old as our helicopters...
Looking at this: http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=h...ed=0CDMQ9QEwBA
It looks like the front tire wells are the same. So, I won't be letting them trim anything yet. Even if the hub is pushed out .5", and my BS is 4", 4.5" - with a 16x10" rim, I should still be good, no?
I dunno... I was expecting them to complain about a rusted or siezed bolt or hub assembly, not call about fender trimming so wasn't ready for that. Figured it'd all be good.

After looking at the pix you sent me, there is a good chance the shop is right. The sport bumper for your year truck drops farther down than the non-sport trucks. It will be close me thinks. I am going out to take some measurements to compare the two trucks bumpers.
Just got off the phone with the shop, they are saying the tires are going to rub on the BACK side of the front fenders. Maybe a little bit on the front bumper. Said they put the tires on and lowered it to the ground. Said they stick out too much, so not quite sure.
Alright, Julia (GF) stopped off on the way from picking up the car from the shop (kind of one of those days...)
She took this picture:

And they told her that on the read of the fender, you can see where it is a bit darker. Apparently they have to trim back to there, then up a fair amount and of course in.
That seems like... quite a bit considering no one else has to do this type of trimming. I'm wondering if they could not just adjust the cam bolt and move the axle forward a bit...
Sorry I couldn't edit the picture in paint or something to be more clear, working between phone and computer.
