Does your speedometer work?
everything is leading me towards the governor and the solenoid nothing else makes sense and I don’t think it needs rebuilt as it shifts 100% perfect with that 8 pin unplugged manually shifting

Yeah, go ahead and do the governor pressure sensor and solenoid, and the output speed sensor as well. (different from the VSS) Should be able to get all three, along with a filter and gasket, for under 100 bucks on EBay. You want the borg warner heavy duty solenoid though. While you are in there, go ahead and adjust the bands as well.

okay. I replaced the output speed sensor with a brand new sensor as well as the abs sensor in the rear differential

I just ordered ANOTHER output speed sensor along with the borg Warner solenoid and govenor pressure sensor. I got a new filter a new gasket for solenoid and I even got a pan gasket. So I’m gonna do all that when it comes in on the fourth or 5th and pray it fixes it if not there’s gonna be a ram for sale lol. I’ll refill with atf plus 4 and see how that goes. I’ll touch back when I have an update. Thank you for the help!

would anyone have a video on how to adjust the bands? That’s something I’ve never done or seen done.

I found one seems simple enough to do.

Its gotta be an electrical issue somewhere, as the test showed that mechanically, the trans is fine. Still no codes?

Need a scanner that can read live data.

Okay no codes at all but no matter what I have no way to shift unless I unhook that 8 pin plug. I will try a good scanner tomorrow. I did notice when I tested the output speed sensor plug I got 0.0 volts the sensor tests at 1.3 ohms as does the other one but the plug doesn’t get voltage when I test both pins on it. 2 pin plug is the one im
referring to. I will be checking with the scanner tomorrow I’ll borrow my buddys. My scanner has live data but only shows vss and speed I don’t think that’s going to be enough to answer my question is all. I agree though it’s electrical.
side not I checked all relays all are 100% good. So I’m kind of Stumped.

Not getting voltage at the output speed sensor is going to be a problem. Though I would expect the PCM to whine about no reading from it......
