Long shot but have you checked all the brake calipers sliding pins? Are the caliper's floating/sliding as they should? A dragging brake will cause all kinds of handling issues and weird noises.

I've checked the front but I myself forget I have rear disc. They are new. calipers and pads. But I will check them later. And 're check the front when I put these new rottors and pads on.

Did the new pads and rotors make a difference in the grinding noise

Ok update time.

Brakes didn't help. But I have a really really great pedal now.

Installed my 241ld today. Heard of a couple other guys with similiar symptoms and they had a bad output bearing on the t case. So I installed the 241 and,

It changed the sound. It's now more..... Dull??? Is h ow i could describe it there? Muffled? It's just different.

Sooooo what could that mean ?

Dang HB...quite the issue going on.

So you changed the tcase out. That changed the sound. I don't remember in your thread if it was covered, but what about the pinion bearing of the swapped in rear end? You installed it as-is if I recall. It would have an impact on the sound based on your changes. Just another thought off the top of my head.

Ya HB, this is getting ridiculous, but your already there...right! WK could be on to something there with that bearing. I had mentioned the pinion angle earlier and a bad pinion bearing could give that problem. The transfer case swap changing the noise tells me it has to do with something that is linked up to the T-Case.

Yea just installed as is. I guess I'll work on the pinion bearing next. Haven't done that one before.

I did initally think that. But I thought it would be a more obvious, chattering sound.

Only thing is Idk how the pinion bearing could effect the noise when I change to the right lane at speed?

Yes that is puzzling, but everything is connected and I guess the side to side motion could impact the pinion through the rear wheels
