Can anyone tell me if all doors,fenders, etc. off a 1500 are the same as 2500? I was told the doors have different clips and hardware between the two??

 

Nope. Exactly the same. Well, for the most part. From two-door trucks, (whether extended cabs or not) they are interchangeable. Not so from two-to four doors.

There are some changes in the electrical as well. But, just swap the harness into the new door.

whats the death flash?? If that's the look that your wife gives you when you bring home a lifted truck she can barely get up in that's needs every body part replaced cuz of rust that can barely get out out of it's own tracks cuz engine is tired from the 207.000 miles on it , then mine got the " Death Flash "

 

The dealers way of addressing the blown plenum gaskets instead of fixing the underlying issue. Basically "de-tuned" the computer to keep detonation down. Search existing threads on the subject for more info.

 

Heres another question for ya all, is there anywhere to buy custom fit carpets for this truck. Carpet thats a pretty much made to fit. And what is out there for headliners, you touch this one and it turns to powder when touched

The carpets you can get from JC Whitney are decent quality. I have one in mine. The headliner can be replaced by scraping off all old material and gluing new on it. Do you have a extended cab? Extended cabs need wider material.

 

Nope just a Reg. cab. Hows the color match pretty good. Not that a headliner needs to be perfect match.

 

This is what I got for my truck. And I got a universal one from Walmart for the back seat.
