I have a center bearing question. I've had 3 that I've put on and they have gone out in less than 6 months. My question is for the little round piece that goes on last, how far up the center shaft does it go? Does it touch the bearing or just to where it will not go any further up the shaft?

you may have crossed wires. wrong sequence for its firing order
used wrong firing order or timing chain out of whack.
