Got a new truck and am going to use mine for parts and then junk it. Bought a 2001 2500 standard diesel for $800. Going to swap it over to a gas and sell the diesel. Body is rough but I'm going to use my body and parts off of my other 2nd gens
Started taking the whole body off. The bed mounting points were rusted through (that explains why they had the bed ratcheted to the frame), rear bumper had to be grinded off, and I got the driver side fender off except for the antenna base have to find a socket for it. The heat is killer, not so much the heat but the humidity for me. Nobody has the socket in stock. I will say this is the rustiest truck I have ever worked on the bolts were in the bed and they had to be grinded off also. You can't even use a ratchet
EDIT: Went to lift the cab off with my tractor and it blew an hydraulic line fml
Is it as simple as just remove it and replace it with a hose? I am pretty sure it's shot
What's shot? The line on the tractor? If it's a pressure line, a hose and clamps are not gonna work there....... Various places, TSC, FHF, and even advance auto can custom make hydraulic lines for ya. Take in the dead one, they make ya a new one, install it, and cycle the hydraulics a couple times to bleed the air out. All good.

Tractor is under warranty but I didn't know advance can make custom hydraulic hose . I'm taking about that rear height sensing valve on the rear axle on the truck
