The parts aren't hideously expensive. Cap is held in place by two screws, which you can't see, and can only maybe touch...... Phillips head I believe. The REAL trick is getting the plug wires back on in the correct order. That is absolutely critical though. Cap is marked for number one cylinder, then just follow the firing order. A mirror might help.....I take the air filter box off the throttle body, stuff a couple rags into it, and drop a piece of plywood from the radiator support, to the throttle body, I then lay on that, so I am almost, sorta, kinda comfy reaching back behind the intake to deal with the cap. (this is one of the reasons I bought a truck with the V-10.... Distributorless ignition, hence NO distributor cap to deal with.
