A bit. Usually, if it's low, you will get delayed, or no shift at all. If its high, the fluid can get air whipped into it, and nothing works the way it is supposed to..... The trans has a tolerance range, which is actually fairly wide...... So, it would have to be pretty low for you to notice.

it was a quart and a half low, I took and filled it about a hairline away from the MAX line. I can feel it shift and everything but its like with every 10 mph I gain I gain 1,000 RPMs. Like for example I was going 30 this morning and I was nearly at 3000 rpms and I was slowly gaining speed and THEN I would feel it shift about then. It would kick a little and the rpms would go down a few hundred and then as soon as I start gaining some good speed the RPMs shoot right back up. I'm starting to think that I could be the trans case in the front because the previous owner did say that the 4wd felt weird when they were selling it. I haven't had the chance to test the 4wd because my 4wd drive shaft needed a new U-joint

I would check TV cable adjustment then. Make sure the cable moves freely, and there isn't any slack....

Does this look right? I watch the tutorial video on it and centered it how it was supposed to be.

That actually looks good, provided it's not holding the valve open at all. (down at the trans. )

Does it drive any better? Things move the way they are supposed to? No stickiness at all??

If it still exhibits odd behavior, disconnect the 8 pin connector down at the trans. It's about halfway back, drivers side, plugs straight down into the top of the valve body area. Go for a drive, keeping in mind, you will have ZERO automatic function. You will have to start in first, and up/downshift as necessary. You also will not get TCC engage, or O/D. If it shifts into the gear you tell it to, when you tell it to, then its just an electronics problem. If it is still goofy, (technical term.....) then you may be looking at a rebuild.

ok, I will give it a try. I know that my trans is shifting now because I feel it at about 3000rpms but my rpms never drop back down unless I stop giving it gas and then when I give it more gas the rpms just skyrocket right back up and then I can start gaining speed when I give it even more gas.

so I unplugged it and went on a drive, I got up to 60 shifting manually at 1700 rpms. I'm guessing I have an electronical problem 🤷‍♂️

So, change out the governor pressure sensor and solenoid (go with the borg warner heavy duty unit....), adjust the bands, change fluid and filter, and maybe do the output speed sensor as well, just for giggles.
