ah ok if the old pipe desovled by muratic acid id put a couple drops and let it disolve the metal i seen what it does to aluminum it ate my snowmobile chain case so i had to wash and sand it etc lucky i didnt leave it in more then 1 hour or nothing left

well i did get some pb blaster.. and gave a couple shots in there last night then this morning.. and what good is wd40 then? or is it no good for anything as i have a bunch of cans of it as i thought it was penetrating oil for years

and will the acetone/trans loosen up any locktite too.. and what be the best easy out to get that piece out as i only gonna get one chance at it really.. and if filins got in there from drilling is there no magnet to get the filings?
kroil oil i re looked up 8oz is 46 bucks if i wanted 1gal 256 bucks or so... for that stuff it better work soo good i can use fingers to un thread it lol

WD-40 is a good lubricant, and helps keep things dry as well. It will displace water wherever it finds it..... I use it on things like door lock cylinders, and such, things you don't want accumulating water, and freezing on you.

I use pb blaster, it works great for me, and the manufacturer isn't quite as proud of it as the folks at Kroil..... (they seem to think their stuff is make of platinum......)

Use an easy out the will fit down into the hole in what's left of the vent tube. Keep in mind, easy outs are VERY hard, but, that makes them brittle too. So, apply pressure to it evenly, don't beat on it, or use it with and impact. That will shatter it right quick.

Muriatic acid may work as well, drip some around there the pipe threads into the diff tube, see if it doesn't help.

Did you turn the adjuster all the way in, so it is at it's shortest?

From what I can see, it *should* go back on there. Is it just not lining up properly?

it wont let me push on over the brakes but these the brakes for 2000 i cant get it to slide around the brakes.. and i dunno what these parts are and if they are important? thats why i gave measurement of the inside drum size its like 10 15/16 on the tape measure
im sure if i hammer the drum on it will go on but it should just slide on loose but i cant even start the brakes are holding things back to slide on.. this truck has been a nightmare really
and these 2 things i cant figure out either

Is there a lip of rust on the drum? May have to get 'em turned.
