Head upgrade
#31
Called Hughes, got a price on everything except injectors, they want 350 for 8 injectors. I thought the stock or maybe 2 port injectors would be fine, he said they wouldn't put enough fuel in at high rpms. Said i "shouldn't" have to drill and tap anything for sensors or water fittings. Said I'd have to have additional work done on aluminum heads, as well as different pistons in order to get the compression i need for the engine to perform at it's best since the actual compression is 8 to and not 9 to as advertised.

I will probably get the intake and throttle body from them for sure. Everything else I'm thinking I'll search for. Felt like he was trying to sell me everything in the world. Tried to get me to buy a $130 cam insert tool. I thought with grease and very carefully it was no big deal to install a cam without damaging it.
