I'm going to try and lightly file to see if I can clean the gears I somehow burred up with a file. Going to Lowes in the morning to see what I can find that would suit the purpose. In the meantime I have been searching and most I find is used. I would prefer new if possible? I don't disagree with you Hey on replacement but finding one new hasn't been a option so far. I would think they would still be an option since there are a lot of them on the road. The gear is tight enough that I believe if I can de-burr it. It will still remain super tight fit s it is right now. I will update when I figure out if I can make it work or replace it.

A good used part for that would work just fine, if you can't deburr the one you have...

I don't disagree with used if it's in good condition. I am hoping I can just get mine fixed. Frustrated with myself after realizing I didn't have it completely level. If you look very close at the pictures, basically it fudged it a little. I can't see why a file wouldn't fix it since it's not a huge gouge or broken tooth. cross your fingers. I sure am.

Well already ran into my first issue with rebuild. I did the overdrive (What I thought) was right. Followed everything through Everything seem good . snap ring in place and it spun easy and quiet. Got everything in place and attached overdrive on and started the rear band placement. ( Servos done). Put in rear drum and snap ring done. Dropped on the sun gear and its about 1" higher so nothing is sitting correctly. Pulled the shaft and tried re inserting it and tapped no luck still same problem. I can hear the shaft bottom out and it's spinning the shaft that the drive shaft connects to so I am thinking either I have to go back and completely re-due the overdrive assembly or maybe somehow that the bearing in the shaft isn't seating properly even though the snap ring there seems to be in place. That shaft seems in the right spot. I don't believe it should pass the rubber boot right? I will post a picture of what I am speaking of. Either way, something is off. I replaced everything in order as well count. My thinking is the shaft has to be the problem here.

The drum and band are sitting right but the sun gear and planet should be level with the drum. They wont drop down due to shaft. I believe the shaft is fully seated. I am going to take the overdrive section back after tonight and go from there I guess. back off and get it to where I can remove the inner first and check the bearing in the tail shaft.

Are you sure it isn't just gears not lining up quite right?

I just started back over with overdrive. Figure I would just start and reset everything to make sure I didn't overlook anything. Double checking everything. Give it one more shot , then go from there. Thanks

It was the overdrive shaft. It moved so it wasn't fully in place but it's good now. Working forward.

OK, Made progress. I just took everything back down and started over. Basically every time I put it in press, something was moving so after a few times it finally worked so now I am past the rear drum point. I am posting pictures. I will update as I go. Thanks
