Mystery leak inspection plate+ oil pressure abnormality
I took the rear cap off but didn’t have to loosen any of the others. Upper half of the seal came right out
Have you solved the issue you're having? Reason I'm asking is because I'm having the same issue. I've replaced the plenum and intake manifold gaskets, oil pressure sensor, oil pump, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and change the oil. Yet, still leaking oil in the same area as you and don't know where it's coming from or what is making it leak like it is.

Are you getting weird oil pressure readings? Does your leaking oil look used or is it fresh? If no weird pressure readings and it looks like used oil, I’d clean the oil off the bell housing and just drive it- be sure to check for leaks and monitor the oil levels religiously. As mentioned previously in this thread, I’ll be installing a mechanical oil pressure gauge as well.
Even the cheap Sunpros or Autogage (or whatever they're called now) should be fine. No need to shell out for Autometer, although it may come with nicer nylon tubing -- not sure.
You can also try to just temporarily plumb it onto your cowl or thru the driver window-- anyplace you can see it while driving, and see if the symptoms truly exist while driving. If you can tee it at the block then it's REALLY fun to compare mechanical (almost surely accurate) to the dash gauge (who knows, maybe kinda-sorta).

any direction on where to find the appropriate tee fitting for this? Just ordered an autometer + pod
Consensus was the gauge cluster is on its way out. I rolled the dice and drove it 500 miles the same day I got it back from the shop. No issues whatsoever. I’ll be plumbing in a mechanical gauge when parts arrive next week
Home Depot, Lowes (in this area) or a local well-stocked hardware store should carry brass fitting that will take care of this issue. The fittings are likely 1/8" NPT threads.
