Swapping a Dana 70 drum brakes to Dana 80 disks brake on a 2000

If it was like my Dana 60 drum brake to disc brake swap and you have a 2nd gen disc brake Dana 80, it should be a bolt-in swap. You will have to use disc brake style parking brake cables at the rear wheels, but that should be about it. I kept my original master cylinder and it worked fine.

Installing one that is SRW , Didn’t buy one yet , looking at some right now. Gonna put a photo once I get one! They only made Disk brakes from 2001.5 to 2002.5 so a bit rare. And even more rare with a Dana 80 that has my ratio!

My question still stands, ARE there any SRW dana 80s? They only came behind the diesel, with a manual trans...... Suppose you could possibly find one from a 2500..... but I don't think "rare" even begins to describe it.

Yes there is! Found a few ones on marketplace, going to look at one tomorrow! But they are indeed hard to find

They're D80 pigs with D70 outers, or at least that's what our '02 CTD has. The tubes even noticeably neck down and I figure that was custom for Dodge on these.
At least for our '02, don't order parts for a D80 like wheel seals --- WAY too big. Maybe a DRW would be D80 wheel to wheel, but our SRW is not. 4.10 and NV5600 if it matters.
