i just read the DIY on the rocker arm replacement. can it be just that easy? what about valve adjustment? im fixing to replace the stovk VC's and thought i would change to the roller rockers at that time.

which ratio? 1.7 or 1.6

Those are the non-adjustable type, and yes, it really is that easy. Follow the procedure, and you are all set.

Stock I think is 1.6.... not 100% sure on that...... 1.7s will give your cam more lift, but, won't change duration, or overlap. Gives a bit more power throughout the RPM range. Also pretty computer friendly. Easy way to squeak a bit more power out of the engine.

With the HS 1.7 non-adjustables, there's no valve lash adjustments. Can reuse stock push rods, and they fit under the stock valve covers. It really is that easy. They give around 20 hp gain or so.

so in a 97 318 are the bolts 3/8 or 5/16? i cant look and see as it is my only vehicle.
