I've only had the truck to the strip once so far but I definitely plan on going back. My best time was 8.5xx at 90, I don't remember the exact hundreds and thousands, that was an 1/8th mile track. The truck weighed right around 7800lbs for that run. I've got a cam shaft valve springs and pushrods that are going in this weekend that will hopefully put me under 8 in the 1/8th. Last time I beat a trail blazer ss that had a vette motor in it, a modded srt 4, an audi a6, and there was a z06 that I really wanted to try but didn't get a chance to. I got my *** handed to me by a mustang that showed up on a trailer running large slicks and a big shot of nitrous, he left me at the line. I knew I would lose but hey just having fun.

My kill list is pretty big, since adding the supercharger and alky I've lost to three vehicles out of about 100 runs. I've ran viper trucks, lightnings, GTOs, Cobras just about anything willing to give it a shot.
I like the difference in closing rate from the 1/8th to the 1/4. 30~mph is not a bad gain in 660ft on the back stretch.

Don't hate, appreciate.

Flywheel horspower for:
mid 90's Mustang GT-250 or so?
Chevy LT1-275 or so?
5.9R/T Dak-250
Hemi-overrated 345, I ain't seen one that has that yet.
The Silverado 6.0- ~325?

Modded 4.7 HO--I would guess I make 290-310. Probably not more but I'd doubt less.

So really, why bash? The Hemi's have horrid throttle response thanks to that electronic throttle control, and if you take our trucks from a roll and shift out the auto yourself you can put a length on a hemi with just basic mods. The Silverado is a good friend of mine and he hasn't had his tuned yet so he can't fully rev it out, otherwise he'd stomp my truck.

And I've been waiting for Blown287's reply. I knew he'd have a good list of stuff he'd taken down. Nice runs man!

It came with the body color matching grill, a guy backed into it leaving the college one night and f'd it up, but a buddy of mine had a slt that he'd totalled out so I pulled his chrome grill off. I plan on getting one of the black chrome grills though I think they look pretty good.
