Id be really interested to see what your truck times at. Ill have to re-run mine. I might be able to pull off 8 on a perfectly flat road that I have traction on, but Im not sure yet.
Do I want to be getting out of first gear sooner rather than later on my truck. With my programmer, I upped the rev limiter and 1-2 shift. Is that killing me or do I want to be using the top of first gear?

Wow, now thats impressive when comparing gears. I would expect to see that difference between 3.55 and 4.10s, but I wouldnt expect that much of a difference between 55s and 92s. And you have the quad cab so youre a little heavier too.

I can't argue with that.
but anyone who doesn't realize that the dakota is a work truck, not a performance truck, not a trail rig, and not a tow rig, really needs to rethink why they bought a dakota.
don't get me wrong, you can do a lot with a dakota, but for the amount of money you'd spend fixing it up to do what you want, you might as well have just bought the right truck for the job you are trying to shoehorn it into.

well, i just did my 08, the other day i used tom tom and the SC to get my speedo within +/- 1 mph, (which is very strange, i put 31.25" on the SC for my 33" tires) it ran 7.80 in the 0-60, and 10.51@71mph for the 1/8 mile, that was on the 87 tune, and of course 33" tires with 3.92 gears, cai, exhaust

I'll vouch for that, mines a pulling machine...

Well atleast my 9.32 isnt much higher than your 8.8 ... and I just updated mine too. Ill see what happens this weekend.
Hm, Dakotas are only meant to be work trucks .... funny. I thought work trucks involved 4 cyl engines, manual transmissions and regular cabs. Any person that needs only a work truck (no towing) would be pretty foolish for buying something with a V8.
