Hey Blown. If I decided to use my vacation time and drive down to Omaha what would it cost to have a cam shaft, controller & fan installed by you?

What year Dakota? We have SOHC, so there in one camshaft on each head. If you have an 08, I have not read or heard of a cam swap yep for that model of motor. Fans and controllers are very simple.

That is good news man. Tomorrow I'm going to start on the solid brackets for the fan. Once I have them done I will post up some pics.

I don't know how long they will last but...I went to Lowe's and bought a 2' piece of 3/16"x3/4" aluminum strap and used it for my brackets. It was kind of easy to shape it to fit the location of the holes I drilled on the fan shroud and the existing holes on the radiator. It ended up very snug but, as it's aluminum we'll see how long it lasts. I tried to take pictures but, they wouldn't come out very good as I had painted the brackets with flat black paint before installing.
