Your in south TX, so similar to me in temps, where does you needle sit? Also, do you have the GMB Water pump?

Snaped this one on the way home from work.

I'm using the stock water pump and the stock thermostat. In the summer heat it will rise to the same distance above the center mark.

Still have the gap on the sides of mine. It does not seem to make much of a difference. If I get bored maybe some good weather stripping. That stuff always rots away though. I'm not going to worry about it.

I agree. I didn't put anything around it and it cools just fine.

Ok, so mine sits around there as well. Just wanted to make sure. I might get the gmb water pump and see how that affects it.

That's where mine sits too, stock fan, stock everything else too. My fuel guage is never that high though |>))

mine sits about 2 needle widths below that. 180 tstat and efan.
