Just got my HHR Efan and Derale controller today installing next Saturday

Got the entire system setup in my truck right now, one last wire to hook up. The orange wire from the SPAL unit. Where did you end up tapping in to get +12 V only when the ignition is switched on?

Most of us used an add a fuse kit off the heated seat fuse (the one next to the fuse puller):

Yep, that's the correct place to get power.

The blue/green wire at the top is where the ac referance comes from. I used a mini fuse tap.

That AC Relay Setup looks very farmiliar...

I like this idea. going to set mine up to come on low with ignition, and high via rocker switch in cab.

The controler is the way to go. It doesn't rob power from the ignition its only referance. It also uses a fuse for the fan so it doesn't break some thing. Adj Temp presets and referance from the ac.

sorry, no they're not. Here's what I came up with (column 2 from the left):

This runs the fan on low speed any time the ignition is on, and a switch on the dashboard flips it over to high speed.
