Why couldn't this have been the next Dakota?

It was a concept truck back from 2000. This just begs to be badged a Dakota. Chrysler is sitting on this and wants to kill the Dakota? They deserve to go under.

I will start off on engines. Dodge upgraded the 4.7L to 305 horses, thats cool put realy weak compared to other similiar engines.
The Kia/Hyundai 4.6L V8 puts out 385 HP

They had two really good concepts, the other was the Rampage.
I also liked the Durango Dude concept.

I don't really see the difference between that and what we have. My biggest gripe is the power that is derrived from the 4.7. How can the Tacoma V6 tow almost as much as us? I think the move to the "newer" 4.7 was a step in the right direction, but maybe a little too late. Beat me to it Blown!!
Didn't know about the Rampage, love the look of it.
Over all I am happy with my truck and will most lilkely keep it till it dies. But this will be my first and last Mopar product if they continue their trend.
