Default 2.5 vs 3" exhaust

Okay gentlemen. As many of you know the Nebraska winter was not kind to my Borla. I'm tossing up whether or not to get the replacement equivalent Borla of my S series in XL and stay a 2.5"

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BOR-400286/

I'm even thinking of opening it up to a 3" and trying out the Aero Turbine 3" dual 248.

I knew I could count on you brother. I do also, but they don't have a 3" dual in/out muffler. I could run two separate 3" mufflers but don't really want to, lol. I'm not doing it until spring so I still have time.

However, going 3 inch will move the torque curve higher in the RPMs, helping (slightly) with your wheelspin off the line.
i would agree here...shuld see if it would help with that!

I've never really heard anything about aero, so I'd say between the 2 pick borla, but I think the 3" would probably be a better choice for your truck..

I don't know your past experiences, but I know that Magnaflow has a dual 3"in 3"out. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-12599/

I'm really leaning towards going with the 3" exhaust so this spring I might be buying two of these.

Dual 2 1/2 is plenty. I recommend regular Aero Turbine mufflers, best money I ever spent on exhaust.

Whatever you think is right, it's your truck. I personally would go with the borla..

Oh Yeah, I'm going to open it up the 3". For those who don't know I'm currently running a true dual 2.5" with a Borla dual chamber muffler. The Rams with the Aero setups sound pretty good, just not sure if they sound better than borla.
