The ride is a little bit rougher than stock I think, although I have never ridden in a Dak with stock leaf packs. There is a total of 5 or 6 leafs per pack can't remember and yes 2006 Ram 2500. How many leafs per pack are stock for a dak?

Anyone with a 3rd gen knows there ain't a lot of room underneath the back seat. Oh yea, it's a quad cab. Any ideas?

I put in a Bazooka tube behind the front seat, comes out super easy and sounds great. Check out the thread for pics.

Welcome! For cheaper dealer parts I've ordered a few things from Mopar.biz and had good luck with them.

If you're looking to level the truck and you'd like to make the front suspension a bit stiffer the Trailmaster leveling kit should fit the bill. Otherwise you can get a bit more lift out of the spacers that go above the strut which you should be able to get away with on a 2wd. If you do end up with the Trailmaster I would definitely change the struts at the same time, you will have to dismantle them to put the spacer in anyway.

ericemery made a fiberglass box that held a slim 10" behind the rear seat on the driver's side in his, you could do something like that. I've ridden in the truck and it sounded great, put out a lot more bass than you'd expect from a slim sub in a box that small. If I remember right my first words on seeing it were "Ok, where's the other subs?".

I had the smaller half of thebackseatcout for a bit cuz my fiancé was going to put a 12 inch MA audio sub n box there but we couldn't get to sit right and I didn't want a sub that wouldn't sit still before we even secured it. After we figured that wouldn't work I drove around without the seat for a while just to see how it was without it and realized I need the full seat. I have dogs and they love to be all over the place and having a sub in the backseat win them just spelled trouble. So there's a slim sub that will go behind the smaller half of the backseat?

MTX Thunderform makes a sub that fits behind the seat, it says for up to the 2004 model Dakota. Here is the thread where a member says it fit in his 05 Dak.

If you go that route, Ebay has it for a good price.

Definitely check the manifold heat shield, I had the same problem and it took a while to figure out that is what it was. I just grabbed on and bent it up and away and haven't heard it since, oh yea and
