wow kinda depressing to know that you can do HO Cams/SC tuner and eletric fan and be pushing out as much power as an 08...and with headers exhaust intake and TB your pushing out more power!

Default Well there is one way to tell - do a test drive at the dealership!

Go to the local dealership and let em give you a test drive of a new 4.7 (although good luck finding one, I have noticed the 4.7's are as rare as hen's teeth around me lately.)
For me, I always thought my 2010 seemed kind of sluggish compared to my 2007 (both were QC, 4x4 auto tranny models, but I "think" the 2010 has a lower gear ratio in the diffferentials.) I had assumed it was either my imagination or something wrong with the particular truck I got.
If I get on it and force it to downshift, it seems to run just fine, but it "feels" like it doesn't respond as well to part throttle. This might just be the DBW trying to outguess me too?

A while back Hammer said best engines in the world matched to the wost, most inefficient transmission in the world, lol.
At work i was talking to the trans guy about my truck and
he told me that the 545-rfe is one of the best transmissions out there right now. He said there made by merceydes

It might be a good transmission but its not really efficient at putting power to the wheels.

You probably already saw it but theres a guy with the Stage-2 tranny on another forum selling it for $2000 .... I would do a valve body for sure if my truck had lower miles and I knew I could run it forever.

Cause after stuff starts breaking on this thing Ill start thinking about getting something new. I probably wont keep it much long after I pay it off in 2 years. Lol. Im not sure what justifies all the small stuff I do to the truck ..... but if I was keeping it for a long time I would definetly drop cams in and more serious mods.
