Anyone figure out if these are T3, T4 or T5?

I plan to solder a blue LED to my Headlight switch (One I pulled from a 168 bulb I have), since its not a removable bulb, just a soldered bulb.

So far I have not got anything bad, other then some ****ty 3157 LEDS for the front signals (Which I didnt use anyways, since they super flash and I dont want to put a Resister in.) But the Reverse ones I got are great, 2x Brighter.

Well, not too happy with the superbrightled.com bulbs. I ordered 8, just to be safe, for the three I needed for the damn HVAC circuit board. Because of the crappy quality control, I was only able to get one of them to stay on for more than 50% of the time. Any slight pebble in the road would cause them to ficker, due to a poor connection. The problem is, they are not really designed for our applications, although some have gotten them to work. For me, it was such a hassle just trying to get one of the them to work.

Back to square one. I removed the bulbs out of the housings, and purchased universal led bulbs from Advance Auto Parts and shoved those into the housings. Meh, it looks ok at night.

In the mean time, I am researching (what I feel) is a better solution.

you could try this place, I use it for all my electronics projects. They carry some pretty specialized stuff that is hard to find anywhere else.

You won't find headlights there, but for our dash stuff you just might.

varnerhba, let me know when you find out about the guage cluster led lights. I just got my order from blackcat customs in the mail and plan on putting it in within the next month, so it would be great if I could also do an led change while I have it out. I know nothing about led bulbs though, so wouldn't be able to tell if it is possible or what it would need.

They aren't leds in the cluster, its an EL sheet with a converter. I've checked with a couple EL places and they say they won't do it. Probably because of DOT and liabilities.
