Default Interior LED- A HOW TO DO

ok so i ordered some LEDS from superbrightleds for the first time, unfortunatley V-leds didnt have what i wanted for this project.

I am sick of the green lighting EVERYWHERE. Especially when I have a doubledin pioneer that is blue lighting, i want everything to match. So I did ALOT of research on this. I was tempted, and I still am to get some LED's i could soulder into the old housing of the incadencent bulbs, so i wouldnt have to dremel out the circuit board of my HVAC switch. (this was the first illuminating part in my car I thought was most ugly so i started with this first). Unfortunatley I am not that knowledgable to go that far into it so i saved the old bulbs. For the meantime i planned to get some b8.5d SUPER BRIGHT bulbs, I found a place close by my house that sells them so i picked up a couple. lol THEY SUCKED. so i checked superbrightleds since I have herd ALOT of good things about them. 3 days later after i ordered them on a friday monday they were there. so this morning i went to town.

Qty | Product / Options | Price/ea |
================================================== ==========
3 | B8-HP: B8-HP series Instrument LED bulb | $ 2.59 |
B8.5D-WHP: White

3 | B8-HP: B8-HP series Instrument LED bulb | $ 2.59 |
B8.3D-WHP: White

YOU WILL NEED-

1. Dremel
2. Plyers or Crescent Wrench.
3. Phillips Screw Driver
4. 3 b8.5d 12v LED (the extra bright ones)
5. Patients

Instructions-

1. Pull out the HVAC assembley.
2. Remove the 2 phillips screws on the rear of assembley.
3. Remove ***** on front.
4. Unwedge the edges, and corners from the actual assembley, as the backing and front should come apart(BE VERY GENTLE OR IT WILL BREAK.)
5. Remove incadencent bulbs.
6. Take dremel and SLIGHTLEY open the holes that the LED socket is going to go into as the b8.5d is just SLIGHTLY wider than the stock socket.
8. Make sure LED contacts are touching contacts on circuit board.
7. Reverse steps 5-1.
8. Test to make sure it works.
6. Pull assembley apart.

Looks good! I am having trouble seeing exactly where you used the dremel. Is it opening the portion that the light socket twists into to lock?
