Hemi Swap 1yr Plan
I got the intake air sensor code to go away. The old original sensor from the 4.7 was bad. That means no real codes for now, egr will be tuned out and the O2s should go green when the exhaust is done.
Right now I have only power steering, exhaust, and the wideband gauge to worry about. Then it's tuning and AC lines.
I have completely solved the radiator hose problem with parts from napa. I have the heater core in the loop too, before it was jumped from outlet directly to inlet and seemed to cause problems, so I just took care of it. after a bit of an overheating scare. It stays really cool, I took it around the block a few times after topping off the trans. I still need to drain some oil because I overfilled it I'm sure, I will check the dipstick tomorrow to be sure. Here's a short running video that shows the hose solution.
It runs good, I think it will need some fine tuning from Sean at hemifever but it was a good base tune.

So I'm putting a power steering cooler in this weekend, and I'm going to drive it to work Monday and have some muffler shops look at it around lunch time. Maybe it will be ready to start tuning by Friday.
Hopefully that doesn't happen haha. I will be easy on the throttle, but its still so loud lol. Can't afford a tow though, so it is what it is.
I got the powersteering all hookered up with a new power steering cooler. if anyone else does this swap, i seriously recommend a cooler be added to the system. All 5.7 hemi vehicles had a pretty big one, as far as ps coolers go, so im sure that pump needs it. Dusty said he ran it with just the cooling loop and it go so hot, the dipstick melted and fell inside the reservoir.
But that means im road worthy, just not tuned or quiet lol. Monday or tuesday it should be quieter. And I will have the wideband in by Friday hopefully!

its cool to see this all coming together......makes me wonder what hidden issues (clearance/fitment etc) to figure out I would've found if I had kept my 4wd dak & tried this transplant myself.
nice work, don't let that beast get away from you.

Thanks man, yea I'm pretty thrilled too.
As far as 4wd trucks, the ram oil pan will need to be modded to clear the front differential, and that's pretty much it. I also recommend keeping the diff mounted to the rubber isolator part when sizing the block bracket so the angles stay the same, that would save a lot of headache when it comes time to put it all back together.
I first thought I would have a few brackets made, but I ended up just doing the one because there's no way for me to assure it would work with a 4wd and aligning the differential back up.
So I ran the power steering for the first time, everything seems to be in order. I need a new fluid reservoir for it though because this one has a hairline crack at the top that seeps a bit of fluid. 38 bucks, not too big of a deal. Took it out on the street for once, it has some pep. Even with open headers which kills the torque, it still felt stronger than the 4.7. And man, was it loud. I felt like I was trying to wake the dead. All seems to be good, but I may have a bit of vibration from the dust cover between the trans and block. That will be a pain in the *** to fix, so I'll wait to see if it will go away.
This was the exhaust last night. Should be done at noon. Today the. I have to transfer the o2s over, extend a connector, and add the wideband.

They are magnaflow highflows, I trimmed the heat shields off and some tabs that didn't need to be there in order to fit them better. 2.5 in/out into a 2.5 to 3" ypipe for now. I will go dual some time later.
