Default 2010 Dodge Dakota Looking To Add Heated Defrost Mirrors / Tow Mirrors

Hello new to the group I recently bought a 2010 crew cab TRX 4 Dakota with leather / cloth seats power moon roof power rear sliding window / driver seat with a radio that has been changed out to Kenwood in dash nav backup camera unit. The outside mirrors are power but not heated I live in North East Ohio so they would be handy looking through the prior threads I've have not found a completed write up. Question one is there one to be found that explains and says how they got the heated mirrors to work. I already picked up the HVAC center control panel with the snowflake defrost button. Question two what years and will a Ram 1500 or 2500 heated / turn signal tow mirrors mount to the doors work with some modifications any direction is appreciated.

There are folding/heated/power mirrors that are 6x9 for the Dakota. It fits all years for the 3rd Gen. I bought two of them off ebay awhile ago, but haven't installed them yet. The Durango should fit, but I don't think a ram will. Part number for the left one is 55077625AH. might be able to find a good deal on ebay or amazon, I got mine for $60. As for getting them to work, I haven't checked yet if there is a pin missing from the wiring harness. I have to move my truck today, so I'll try to take a look or pop that parts in and test it out.

Good luck adding heated mirrors, it's been brought up a number of times over the years.
I do not recall anyone having success at this. A few threads below:

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...onversion.html

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...d-mirrors.html

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...r-upgrade.html

And of course, Welcome Aboard.

Would love to hear if either of you are able to get the heated mirrors to work.

The 6x9" mirrors are the standard Dakota towing mirrors. However, someone on here (don't recall the thread) added the extendable towing mirrors to their Dakota. I think they use the Dakota to tow a TT.

Thanks Hasselhoff and Dakostaff for the responses I read through the listed threads you posted Dak the other day and so far that's what I have been reading no one has ever posted a finish on these so I hope someone will chime in who may have or has the knowledge to make it happen on getting the heated mirrors to work. Philipat if you come across the thread let us know and thanks.

2008 Dakota Laramie wiring diagrams w/ heated mirrors (Diagram 1 )

2008 Dakota Laramie wiring diagrams w/ heated mirrors (Diagram 2)
Found access to some online wiring diagrams for the 2010 and 2011 Dakotas. They don't show any heating wiring going to the external mirrors. However, the 2008 diagram does, which I've attached. I can't really read them, but they might help someone figure this out.

Double thanks Philipat on both reply post above I followed the first post links deep and it apparent the 4 the generation Ram 1500 mirrors will fit the 3rd generation Dakota at lest 2010-11 sometimes it says minor modifications to the mounting holes. The wire diagram will at least give me a start to start looking I do not have rear window defog but its obvious the relay is needed in the engine compartment fuse box so this will be a good stating point. Hopefully someone completed the project and can chime in...

No worries...I wonder if 3d Gen Ram mirrors would work. I liked the way those flipped out to the side. They didn't seem to stick straight out quite as much.

Someone did it on their 2nd Gen Dakota: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...r-options.html or
.

Nice thing about those is that you can get with them with big or small spot mirrors. Mirror link:
