Default Rough Idling

Has any body else had problems with rough idling lately or at all? I've had it for a while, but I'm figuring that since it's raining just about everyday since November here, that maybe there's a chance that there is some water in the tank and lines.

I bought some Octane booster to see if that'll help get rid of the water or the rough idling.

Let me know.

Haven't had the problem, but...

Is it stalling or bogging down or sputtering??

Or are the RPM's just bouncing around at idle??

It just bounces up and down at stop lights. I've only had a few times where it wouldn't start right away. It would start then die, and I would have to wait, but that hasn't happened since it turned 10,000 miles.

How long ago did you put the intake on??

Out of curiousity, did you undo the negative of the battery when you put the air intake on???

I put it on last month. Actually, I had the dealership put it on and I know they didn't do the negative battery deal. I had to go back and do it myself. I also have to do an adjustment on it so I can close the snorkel back against the foam. Not happy with the way they did that.

The reason I asked is because the engine's computer has to reset/change to the fact that it now is breathing in more air.

It was that way on the 3 Ford Focus's I had, when I put aftermarket intakes on them.

Also, on K&N's install instructions it said to do that as well.

The Air Raid said to do that also, but being that the guy is a "pro" probably didn't even read the instructions. I went out when the Seahawks were kicking the crap out of the Eagles and disconnected the negative for the half hour, something close to it.

Kind of pissed me off.

Fontana...

LOL...yeah I used to be on Focaljet too.
I've seen your SN before on there.

I had a 2000 SE sedan, 2003 SVT ZX5, and a 2005 ZX3.
Never went FI though. Just bolt-ons
