Default Mercedes parts

So I knew that the Durango chassis was based off of the Mercedes chassis, but I guess some parts carried over too. Look what I found on the top of the front differential. http://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/dodgefor...01d020877d.jpg

And right below that is the ZF logo, the company that produced the parts for Mercedes which then were introduced to Chrysler by the Daimler merger.

Shelby, you may be right but I think that Dodge just put a Durango body on the Dodge Magnum running gear. The Dodge Magnum wheel base is 120.00" and the Dodge Durango wheel base is 119.8".

It would be interesting to know how much of the vehicle crossed over from Daimler to Dodge.

The window controls look about the same... makes me wonder how many other parts are. https://www.google.com/search?q=merc...l%3B1500%3B938

I know the chassis was, but it looks like quite a bit more was too, when you look at the interior. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OfFGhgE9Wh...ior%2BView.jpg

Wanna see something else that's cool?

Notice the touch screen system in the Maseratis?

Yep, it's a UConnect. You can definitely say that you have the exact same head unit that's on a $100,000+ vehicle.

I drove ML500's for 13 years before moving to my Durango. From the minute I sat in the Durango, it just felt familiar, like I was in an ML. There's a lot of carry over.
