Thanks alot for all the feedback. It helps out a lot...I am for sure going to get the Superchip 3865...but my g/f wants me to wait until we come back from our trip to Vegas on April 2(my 21st b-day)..so Im going to have to wait a month, which sucks but worth it..hopefully the sale will still be their by then,if not im still getting it..

hey wudup there fellazz got another question about the 3865...

Using the 3865 and changing the shift points does that mess with the powertrain....what i mean is does it mess with it enough to where it could possibly screw up my transmission over time?

if not then why would SC offer the 2 year powertrain warranty if you buy the cortex?

please dont get the wrong impression either im just curious just a question for the SC guys cuz its kinda been runnin thru my head

cuz ill b in 2nd gear and mashin on the pedal and then kinda let off to where i come close to gettin to second gear and then i feel like a "jerk" as soon as it pops into 3rd. Dont get me wrong i love the jerk and i love the setup i got and im not gonna change it lol its just im use to the smooth shifting from when i didnt have the SC 3865 and Im just worried if i keep leaving it in that rpm shift rate for a while its gonna do somethin bad to my trans which could b money i could b spendin on mods! do you guys think that its just somethin that im jus gonna have to get used to? cuz i could get use to it... that is, if its not goin to mess wit my tranny

Thank sorry if i pissed anyone off!

I've used Superchips on my 04 and now my 08. Never had an issue. The powertrain warranty is for folks who are worried about loading tuning up on their vehicles.

Where do you have your shift points set on your 4.7? If you have them too high, that won't work. Set your shifts points around 5500 RPM or so and tweak from there.
