Default Exhaust System

I am looking for an exhaust system for my Ram 1500 4X4 QC Hemi Sport. I want the exhaust note of a 8 cylinder, but I don't want something that is going to get annoying and nothing too loud at idle/low RPM's (upper end is ok) (I have a 454 Chevelle, and if I want loud, I go sit in that). So, who makes the best exhaust and has the V8 rumble, but not nothing too loud? Preferably cat-back.

I was also thinking about just putting in a new muffler. I am not really interested in who makes the best power gains, just looking for the sound. So, what if I took a flowmaster/borla/ect muffler and bolted it on instead of the stock one? Sound like its feasable or am I going to mess somtehing up with the computer? Any help would be wonderful,
Chris

if you just want the sound the cheapest way to go is to jsut replace the muffler, buy one off ebay for maybe $50-$70 i did that on my old suburban instead of replacing all the piping.

I went with a magnaflow system and I really like it. It has a deep throaty rumble when you get on it, but shuts down pretty good on the highway so it doesnt have an annoying drone. Im sure you could just get a muffler if you didnt want the whole system, i just wanted pipes out the back so I went that way.

I had the Borla Dual Exhaust cat backs installed a week ago, exiting behind each wheel, It sounds really great, quiet but ever so noticeable at idle but when you stomp on it, it does make a nice roar, not defening but it's nice.
I have a video of it if you want me to send it to you.

Could you send me that video? I would appreciate it (RedSS454Chevelle@aol.com)

Also, if I remove the resonator, do I just throw in another peice of pipe? If so, what size are the pipes? Thanks,
Chris
