Custom bumper builds?
Is there any 3g's out there that have/know how to build a custom bumper? I like the metal ones, not the tubular ones. I've seen good pictures of them but could not find any help searching the forums. If you can, post pics of the bumpers and please tell me how you did it. I can'tjust draw something then make it.
There have been a few over the years that have built them, nothing crazy tho.
Ill search for ya.

I know its nothing to what you are talking about but I just inherited a 2011 Dodge Ram rear dual exhaust bumper that had slight damage. Its chrome but I was able to bend back the damaged part of the bumper. Its just a project that i may or may not persue but the plan is so sandblast it, smooth out the damaged area, make some cuts and paint it. I can do it all for free basically but it takes time. I would love to have it on my 06! I guess then that would mean I have an excuse for dual exhaust!
Sounds like fun, but I don't know crap bout cuttin metal and stuff like that, I'm 17 years old lmao. How'd you bend back part of the damaged bumper? I've backed into several things at night (I used to have tinted tails so couldn't see at night) including 2 trees, a lowered s-10 but that one made me happy, and... I forgot the other thing but I think I hit something else... Anyway that pos chrome rear bumper has about 4 dents in it, not that big but it's enough to bother me.

And I'm just throwing this out there, you otta lift that truck! I don't know why, but the blue rams look super nice when lifted. I know that's completly random lol just wanted to say it.
All I did was use channel lock pliers and a towel in between so I didnt scratch the chrome... not that it matters. Mine was bend upwards on the bottom edge so it was easy. The new bumpers are pretty thin metal. Dents can be tapped from the back side on chrome but it would take a lot of work, chances of strtching the metal plus its chrome so you will see everything. The bumper I have isnt perfect but Im gonna grind it down and fill in the low areas that are still in the damaged spot, then paint it after its all fabbed up. Ive never done it before either but I work at a large collision shop so what I cant handle Im sure someone else will. I plan on getting bigger tires so I might put a leveling kit on that raises the back 2 inches and the front 3 inches. Thats as far as Im gonna go with it.
