Default Replacing front bumper? Myself? Shop? Cost?

So I'm dumb and i bent my front bumper (Don't ask). I found a new replacement bumper for only $239!

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...e%20Ram%201500

So I don't know the expert on this, ha but once I get it, is it something I can install myself? Is it hard? Should I just take it to a shop? How much would that be? Thanks in advance

P.S How do you edit your signature?

i think they're pretty easy bolt-on things. also keep in mind, maybe u could get something after market and cool looking for probably about the same. i have a pretty gnarly ding in my back bumper, and it's starting to rust. once it gets bad enough, i'm gonna replace it with a rollpan and a lightbar...for cheaper than a replacement stock bumper. check ebay...maybe a local junkyard? watch the guy take the bumper off, and see if it's just a few bolts. if he has to started cutting and hacking etc, etc, just obtain the bumper and take it to a shop.

ps) signature editing in in user cp. you have a link in there between [img] tags...and that link is down...cause it linked to an image u had in your photobucket, but that image is no longer at that link (maybe u re-organized and made folder or something? got rid of it?)

8 bolts and about 15 minutes. I had to pull the bumper to install the tow hooks.

Thanks guys. So you are saying its easy? Sure it's just 8 bolts, ha but are they the biggest most impossible bolts to get off with crazy huge tools?

dodge forum to the rescue again...good job boys.

if u go ahead and do the bumper thing, mark - take detailed pictures and make a do it yourself. i'm sure a lot of dodgeforum's hits are from people googling "changing bumper on a dodge ram". and, it will be a great thread to add to diy section...(unless it's already there). but yea, takes pictures of every bolt, step by step =)

spend a hundred more to get something like these...hell, you're replacing the bumper, why put the same thing back on...one of these would change the HELL out of the look for your truck:

I saw these man! And I thought. Dang that looks sweet! But it's a bumper COVER. My bumper is bent in the middle and hangs down on the sides like a good 2 inches away from the headlights. You still think one of those would work?

PLUS it doesn't come pre painted. That would be expensive and a pain in the face. Right?
