I used simple green when I had those rims. They always came out looking really good. Take a look.

Wink Plastic sucks!

My rims are plastic on the outside also. I have an 07 hemi 1500 QC 4X4. I was cleaning them last night and the outside ring is pitted with corrosion bad and the plastic in the corners are pitted and dicolored as well.

Anyone know how to possible take the pitting out of the plastic?? I heard that you can remove the pitting in the aluminum outside ring with 000 steel wool and WD-40, anyone try this?? Can you buy the plastic outside for the wheels??

Thanks,

Jeremy

I have the pitting and I am not sure if I would call it oxydation...?? I was going to use a chrome polish on them...but...what would that do to the finish? I think mine are plastic also..

I have a 2008 and I am having the same issue as most of you. My rims are terrible. Almost like they are chipped or something. If there is any fix to this problem (other than spending $1000 on rims) I would love to know.
