Yeah, tranny problems at 2k miles is not enjoyable... but yes, I'm lovin' me some LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY...

The good news is that the truck seems to be running/shifting fine now. And even better is that when I picked up the truck today I found it looking better than it did when I drove it off the lot. I was almost empty of gas and was hoping they'd feel guilty and fill me up - no luck... But the service manager is a super nice guy - we visited a while. Turns out his brother is a very good friend of mine at work whom I've known and been close friends with for about 15 years (small world, eh?)... and like someone had mentioned earlier, I even got up under the truck and check everything out - they didn't miss an inch on this truck when they detailed it. Under the hood was spotless - inside was spotless - outside was spotless. I'm satisfied.

Of course all this means is that I'll probably hit a deer this weekend and tear the front end off it...

not much to add. But I always wait for about 60 seconds after start up - actually till it gets down to 500 RPM's - (I catagorize this as the normal operating tempature). I am not very mechanical so please chime in to challenge, add or provide additional feedback.

I usually let mine idle down a bit or I can feel it slipping into gear when cold. This is normal as per the manual (not the 10 second delay as noted). It mentions that the torque converter drains off when sitting awhile. Not a good design, but that's life.

The solenoids probably got stuck from it sitting on the lot for so long
It seems to have a good home now. Nice truck!!
