Here is a really lame attempt of me to show the difference of my truck with black painted grille inserts, and the existing stock chrome inserts. What do you guys think??

I kind of like it chrome. I know murdered trucks with JUST chrome inserts look great. especially if you would paint your headlights. Don't tint them, paint them. Easy to do. Mine don't fog at all (knock on wood) even in 100% humidity Louisiana

Hmm...yeah I know what ya mean too. Maybe I should just stick to getting the tail lights and headlights painted by the body shop and leaving that grille alone?

Umm why dont you just do it yourself? its easy. I can send you step by step picture DIY if you need it. It costs about $30 in all, at the most. I did mine and I am not paint-inclined at all. In fact, I suck at it.

Trust me on this man, you are right thinking leaving the grill alone. You will not like how it looks with the entire front black (I speak from experience), there will be nothing left to add any depth to the front of the truck when you look at it.

Teach, are you saying you don't like your front end being all black?

I talked to the bodyshop today and I just told him to forget about the grille. So saturday he's bringing the truck in the garage and doing the tail lights dark, and covering the headlights with a faint layer of paint.

Not at all, I am just saying that if there is nothing behind the grill it just looks like there is nothing there at all, there is no depth to the front of the truck. I personally think it only looks good with something behind the grill (like my Hella 500's) so you can see that the grill has been painted.

Ok, so this morning one of the employees from the body shop opened up the garage for me to do my tail lights and the headlights. Before I left I told him to leave a hint of red in the tail lights, and to go light on the front headlights. About three hours later, he called me back and told me they were all set. When I arrived, I was really excited about it. I thought it really brought the truck together and makes it look very mean. However, as usual, my brother, and one of my best friends, don't like the headlights. They think they don't match the front end very well, and that they look "dirty". My brother has smoked headlights on his F350, but says they look right because it has smoked "housing". I wanted to get your guys input on what you thought of the headlights...I'm still not sure yet.
