I'm confused then I guess, idk how it works if it's made to work with at least that much but your not even close to that? Guess it would help if I knew more about transmissions and torque converters.

How difficult is it to install a shift kit? From the pictures it seems like its nothing more than a few springs. Should I attempt it myself? If I'm gonna get a tc and I don't have a jack im gonna have to have a shop do that.

shift kit shouldnt be too bad to install. you can get the valve body out by just dropping the pan. but then again, might seem easy to me cuz i work on valve bodies at work. little bit different valve body, but same concept none the less.

just be sure to follow the directions to the T. use locktite where it says to use it, and use the correct tq specs if any are given.

im interested to see how that shift kit works out for you... make sure to snap a few pics of the install... seems like a cheap mod for an '03 that will never have trans tuning options with a tuner

i thought the trans shift kit for out trucks was just a reprogramming kit, basically just piggybacks on, no dropping of valvebodys or anything of the sorts like older trannys, thats why a tuner can do it also.......
