i have an 2003 dodge ram with a 4.7... starting to have engine problems, and curious if any other motors will drop in without changing wire harness or moving engine mounts???

Uhhh, no. And, there's a bit of re-programming to be done as well.

You will have to swap harnesses as well as a few other engine components. the exhaust is differnt and yes the motor mounts are different. I believe the radiator is different as well. not sure if the trans bellhousings are the same either???

I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's a bit of work and time and there's the know how to factor.
ECU doesn't need to be changed, just flashed.

I know you are asking for a direct replacment, not exactly what your looking for but....There is a member on dak-dur who transplanted a Hemi into his dakota to replace his 4.7l. He had to modify the oil pan, replace the wiring harness etc, but he got it work and has helped others do the same.
