I'm not sure what you mean?

The reason I'm hesitant about going to another dealership is because I hate having to start over with salesman. Here I've already established my trade in and they know what I want. This dealership is one of the largest dodge dealerships in southern Maine as well. He told me he was going to call me tomorrow on some black Rams, but as I said before, he has told me it will be more money if he has to get it from another dealership. Then again, I could just be a dink and ask him what dealership has it and then go there.

Yeah I'd shop around. Then if you don't decide to buy from another dealership you can also have the fight each other over the price.

If they are going to try to stick you with an extra fee for a black truck, why don't you just tell them you will go to another dealer that already has a black truck on the lot? Bet that you can get that fee to disappear if you say you will just go to another dealer.

You all make excellent points and I am prepared to throw it at my salesman tomorrow when he calls.

As far as dumping money into my 2005 I do not want to do that. I stopped putting money into my truck awhile ago; it's just throwing money out the window. I'd much rather put money towards a payment that will have a track record and can be used later down the road when I am ready to purchase my first home. All putting money into a vehicle does is make it that much harder to part ways with your truck because for one your sentimental to it, and two, you don't want to loose all the money you put into it extra.

Make sure you keep us updated on what he says. And remember, you are the one with the money so you are in the position of power in this market. If they won't give you what you want or need there is almost certainly someone else out there who will.

They have to pay 2 people to drive to the other dealership and drive the truck back. They are trying to charge you for this service. My neighbor does these trips all of the time for my Dodge dealer.
My dealer did not charge my dad for this when he bought his Grand Caravan last year.
