If I want to drive a stick, I get the Mustang out. It was my daily driver for over 13 years. Stop and go traffic sucks with a stick. Period!!
My daily driver is my Hemi Ram with a 5-speed auto. The demand is just not there to warrant the extra expense to build them anymore. The auto transmissions of today are stronger then the manuals usually used these days. This is why in most cases, the same truck with an auto, will have a higher towing capacity than a manual trans truck.

Example from the 08 Ram brochure

4.7L V8 reg cab sb 2wd 3.92 gear with auto trans= 7650 max tow weight
4.7L V8 reg cab sb 2wd 3.92 gear with manual trans = 5750 max tow weight.

Manual trans loses 1900lbs in towing capacity.

Same in the 2500/3500 but less of a difference.

All Dodge trucks are built with a "Clutch hanger" under the dash.and a 4.7 litre-5 speed trany will bolt up to a Hemi.So why not un-bolt the plate in the floor where a shifter would go through.Hang a clutch from the hanger and bolt in a 5 speed tranny.
