Default Magnaflow

I'm planning on changing out the muffler on my truck (again) within a month or so. Although the flowmaster sounds amazing at full throttle, it proves to be a nuisance for daily driving. I'm pretty confident I'm going to trace my magnaflow tracks again and go for it again. Magnaflow doesn't offer that signature flowmaster tone, but it doesn't drone nearly as much.

Here's my question. The last magnaflow muffler I ran was a 5x11x22. Could buzz in your ear a little bit getting up to speed, but was pretty silent on the highway etc. How would the 5x8x24 compare to the 5x11x22? Louder, quieter, equal? I'm pretty sure it's between those two mufflers. I've contemplated the 5x8x18, but I fear it's going to give me drone on the highway which I really cannot stand. What do ya'll think??

I have the 18" Magnaflow muffler and find it is pretty quiet on the highway as you described above. I mean at 110 (65) you can't hear it at all in overdrive. (3.55's and about 1750 rpm), only hear the muffler again around 2000 rpm HWY cruising and with my set-up thats going 130. I am very pleased with it overall as I had a walker dynomax before and it was too loud and the body at 11 or 12 inch was way to short. I hear the longer it is the quieter. I went 18 as it seemed to be same size as stock.

I think they would sound about the same, the 24" should be very close to the stock muffler when you're cruising.

But doesn't the Aero only come in a single out version? What would be a good Aero muffler that isn't going to drone bad?

buy the biggest one they offer on their site. i had it my first go around and it was perfect. i went slightly smaller this time and its still too loud for my liking and the drone is bad
