Default Engine change from 04 to 07 5.7

Can anyone help me with this change over? I think it will work fine as long as I use my original sensors and wiring. Has anyone done this?

Thanks

Your 04 pcm won't know what to do about the MDS.

Their are internal differences in the motor that allow MDS to function, the 04 pcm is gonna go into WTF mode and make bad things happen most likely.

If you go to a SCT Tuner you should be alright to compensate for the new motors parameters and you will be able to disable to the MDS. I would contact hemifever because he has tuned a couple hemi motors that have been dropped into 4.7 using the original wiring. I don't know how you are going to wire the dual spark plugs tho. Thats gonna be a deal breaker.

Where did he say anything about a 4.7?

Yeah, guys I am going from a 04 Dodge 1500 to a 07 5.7 hemi. The truck runs great for 5 minutes then dumps fuel heavily and misses badly. Dont have any codes but O 2 sensor naturally with all that fuel.

Thanks
