this guy uses his truck for plugin his place of buisness, and it's lifted high enough that his door handles are even with about the top of my truck and it's a 4x4 with the off road package (about 2 inches higher)

My wife's Bravada has 4.2 liter inline 6 DOHC with VVT, it has 275 h.p. My 4.6 liter Cadillac has 300 h.p. (they have since the early '90's), the new Northstar has 320 h.p. The supercharged version is 4.4 L with 440 h.p. I'll put the interiors of those 2 up against anything Chrysler has ever built for sale in North America.

 

That's all fine and dandy. Yep the numbers say 4.2L VVT 275HP, but what happens when you stand on the gas? Don't even get me started on overpriced Cadillac Poopy.
And comparing interiors? Give me a break, they all look good the day you buy them. Let's listen to that GM Poopy interior rattle and buzz a year after the car was put into service. GM thinks NVH is translated into New Vehicle Harmonics, cause they sure don't have any explanation for the rattle, piston slappin pieces of crap a year later!

 

My Caddy is a '96 with 94,000 miles, it looks and runs as well as it did when it was new. The interiors are fine, I don't have rattles, except a couple in '67. My wife's Olds is quicker by a good bit than my 5.9 Durango with 3.92 gears, was. Yes some LS style engines have piston slap, but it's nowhere near the problem you make it to be. Some Hemis have a tick, that doesn't make them junk. Chrysler trannys failed at an alarming rate in the '90's trucks, the plenum gaskets failed regularly, they knew it and did nothing to correct it for years, everyone has issues.

 

I suggest you read the comments about the "new" Colorado in the new Car & Driver. Not much good to say about it and rated at the bottom of the "little" trucks tested.

Imho, the best part of GM trucks, at least some, is the LS-based V/8. I've lived with an LS-engine in my daily driver for a while and love it. The new hemi 1500 I've ordered will swap out daily driver duty with the C-5 Vette. Both fine engines.

Damn, aint this been interesting.... IMO just enjoy what you want.... I remember having a ford pinto hatchback and it was a blast to drive...soooo, what ever trips your trigger, "go for it".....

had a caddy STS... could put a lotta bodies in the trunk, and still haul ***.....heheheheeeeee..

You must be joking. The LS2 is a fine motor...GM finally took their heads out of their ***** and designed heads to match the bore of the cylinder. 20% of LS1 motors have piston slap...a la, my 04 GTO PIECE OF SHI%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh...the C-5 has that very same motor...seems GM is fine with selling 55,000 dollar cars with piece of crap motors(20%). GM can FU$@ off.

Bitter? Absolutely...making a mistake is fine but own up to it and fix your mistakes. That is where GM lost my loyalty forever. Every company designs a random POS...but it's how they own up to it that matters to me...GM failed in that endeavor miserably.
