It's not that I don't like Rams, I just don't like the rah rah hemi=god all else is a pile of **** circle jerk mentality. Yeah, the hemi's got more power, and the Ram can tow more, but that doesn't make the others an inferior vehicle. The Toyota is designed for a slightly different buyer - mainly the Johnny Suburbs out there who want Toyota reliability while being able to still haul a load of bark or tow a reasonable sized boat. The american half-tons are targeted at a slightly different buyer. You buy what suits your needs.

And Good for Chevy, but I hardly see how that makes the Ram look better.

Hey, I like my Ram most of the time, but I'm man enough to concede that there are higher quality products out there. I bought mine because I liked it better and it suited my needs. I wouldn't have hooked up the race car and loaded the bed with tools for a drive from the NW corner of WA down to LA or Colorado if I had bought a Toyota.

Hey Horatio. It's all good dude. I see where you're coming from. [sm=smiley2.gif] To each his own right? I do share your perspective as far as the other trucks. But you gotta remeber though- this is a Dodge Ram forum. Which means there will be PROUD Dodge Ram owners speakig their minds on here. Most of us are reasonable guys that just love our trucks. And this is the one place where we can shout it! I love my HEMI, so I come here to talk about it. If I bought a Chevy or Titan, I'd be on THEIR forums. But I personally liked what the Ram had to offer me so I choose to "jerk in this circle." I don't, however, think it's right for Nissan/Toyota/Chevy owners to come here and try to start sh*t. [sm=badidea.gif]They need to "jerk in their own circle."
As far as higher quality- well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Quality can and will be debated. We're all entitled to our opinion and some of us get a little excited about it- but again, this is a Dodge Forum. We can say what we want here.

I wanna know WTF Horatio got his numbers for the Ram Towing Capacity. I happen to own a 4.7L 4x4 ST and let me read you the REAL numbers from Dodge.

Dodge Ram 4x4 4.7L V8 RC:

With 3.92 Axle Ratio You Can Tow 7400 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating(GVWR)=6350
Payload=1382
Curb Weight=4968
Curb WeightFront/Rear=2997/1971
GAWR Front/Rear=3900/3900
Gross Combination Weight Rating(GCWR)=12500

With 3.55 Axle Ratio You Can Tow 6400 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating(GVWR)=6350
Payload=1382
Curb Weight=4968
Curb WeightFront/Rear=2997/1971
GAWR Front/Rear=3900/3900
Gross Combination Weight Rating(GCWR)=11500

Strange... Now who needs to rethink their Toyota BS.

oh and here is from TOYOTA's WEBSITE>>>>
Toyota Tundra RC 4x4 V8 LB
vs.
Dodge Ram RC 4x4 4.7L V8 SB

Hauling
Toyota Tundra Max. Payload 1750 lbs. Max. Towing 7100 lbs.
Ram Pickup 1500 Max. Payload 1510 lbs. Max. Towing 8350 lbs.

It should be noted that Toyota is RETARDED and can't even get their comparison numbers right and get it wrong in a way that makes their truck look even worse.

And it should be noted that the Tundra Regular cab 4x4 V8 only comes in a LB.

Losers wanna talk sh** about trucks then they should get their freaking information right.

horatio constantly has something to say against the HEMI's, I am convinced he is just jealous that he doesnt have one so he has to talk smack about them instead. I suggest you go away to somewhere they can appreciate what you have to say horatio because you'll never win here.

And as for the nissan dude, bring on that TITANic piece and I will give you the spanking your looking for! My HEMI runs exceptionally well...

autos.msn.com
Look it up yourselves. The numbers I gave are base model figures with no options. The ST 4x4 comes with a 6-speed manual and a 4.7v8. If my source (MSN) is wrong, and it has been known to happen, then I'm sorry.

But look, I can cut and paste info to prove you wrong too:

2005 RAM 1500
ST, Regular Cab, 4x4, 6.25 Ft, 4.7L Magnum® V8 Engine, 6-Speed Manual Transmission
With 3.92 Axle Ratio You Can Tow 5450 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating(GVWR)[i]=6350
Payload[i]=1445
Curb Weight[i]=4905
Curb WeightFront/Rear=2950/1955
GAWR[i]Front/Rear=3900/3900
Gross Combination Weight Rating(GCWR)[i]=10500

With 3.55 Axle Ratio You Can Tow 4450 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating(GVWR)[i]=6350
Payload[i]=1445
Curb Weight[i]=4905
Curb WeightFront/Rear=2950/1955
GAWR[i]Front/Rear=3900/3900
Gross Combination Weight Rating(GCWR)[i]=9500

RebelRam - maybe you should do some more research, perhaps look at Dodge's website. You'll see that their numbers are the same as the ones from Toyota's website. Who's retarded? Not Toyota.

Chris, hit up google and see who makes the W250 that's in my sig.

That's a pretty reasonable post, horatio, but I gotta ask ya something.

You say that you like your RAM most of the time (whatever!), but why don't you have it listed in your sig? Are you ashamed of it or something?

I love my HEMI all the time!

Far from it my friend, I'm not a fan of the Hemi. I've been looking at getting a newer truck and I'm not even considering the Hemi as a replacement. I'd rather get a 360 magnum and build it myself. That's a motor I like.

I don't even know why your pulling me into this, but you are altering the numbers. I've got the 04 Ram brochure in front of me and the 4.7L doesn't tow less than 7100# in a 1500 model.

?????? WTF is your point again. I keep losing it in all the BS.
