Hello guys I am New to this thread but have read through pretty well the whole thing. I own a 07 Dakota SLT H.O. First off thanks for the advice and instructions as I was uneducated before and was running a crappy P&P 55w kit that was Surging my truck and causing lots of problems..

I ended up buying a new bi-xenon 35w 8000k Canbus kit on a harness and the 4 resistors like stated.
I then proceeded with the correct install with 2 resistors per side and the harness properly fed and grounded. Simple , Done.

I then proceed to try and run the truck (meaning: Shifting into drive... not turning the headlight switch on) - The Hids turn on but the driver side flickers and you and see the bulb moving in and out. The passenger side locked into place and seemed to be working.

When I turn the Headlight Switch to the "On" position , the headlights both operate properly.

Is there a way that I can resolve this problem so my HIDS are consistent without having the switch on and just using running lights?

I am Canadian and I really was counting on not having all the lights on during the day. just the DRLS (hids)

Thank you in advanced

The kit works great when I use the actual headlights

I used hid resistor on both sides Hi and low beam. Do I need to use them on my fog lights?

Your DRLs are causing your issue.

You do not need resistors for the fogs as the PCM does not monitor those circuits

[QUOTE=weedahoe;2979527]Your DRLs are causing your issue.

Thanks for the reply man,
yeah sometimes the drivers side locks in and operates properly when just using DRL's ..

My next question is.. is there a fix for this...

2nd question, can the flicker (Ie: bulb not locking in magnetically) damage the kit in any way..

thanks again.

I can't say where I recall anyone with DRLs getting around it but do a search here on the site. As for long term damage? I don't see where it would but I won't promise anything either
