Truck goes into Limp Mode after fast acceleration
03 Dodge Ram 4x4 5.7 Hemi....If I am going up a hill or step on the gas to get around another vehicle and the truck downshifts it will go into limp mode. If I am going up a steep grade too, it will go into limp mode after a period of time. As long as I do not accelerate quickly and get the RPM's high or "work" the truck, It runs fine and no issues. No codes either when it fires back up. Any ideas?

I have the same issue. I replaced the throttle body and programmed it with the scanner and drove it about 6000 miles and the light came back on. I shut it off and turn the key to the on position untill all the indicator lights were out than I restarted it. Appartently that resets the ecm or some bs. It seems to be ok no I dont drive the truck much and I cant get my scanner untill after the holiday.

I took the throttle body off and it was really clean. I didn't need to clean it. Truck has 160,000 miles on it and runs like a top, other than I can't stomp on it or go up a long steep grade at a high rate of speed.... I did notice the plastic on a few coil packs were cracked and the metal was rusted, seen sparks going to valve cover from 2 coil packs. I doubt that is my issue but I am going to replace the coil packs.
