Default Truck goes into Limp Mode after fast acceleration

03 Dodge Ram 4x4 5.7 Hemi....If I am going up a hill or step on the gas to get around another vehicle and the truck downshifts it will go into limp mode. If I am going up a steep grade too, it will go into limp mode after a period of time. As long as I do not accelerate quickly and get the RPM's high or "work" the truck, It runs fine and no issues. No codes either when it fires back up. Any ideas?

I'd put an ELM327 bluetooth interface on it and use the TorquePro app on my cell phone and check all the sensors to see if anything looks out of wack.

Maybe throttle body needs cleaning or sensor is failing , does the red lighting bolt come on when it goes into limp mode ? Other than that then you may need to look at real time data with some type of interface connection

I have the same issue. I replaced the throttle body and programmed it with the scanner and drove it about 6000 miles and the light came back on. I shut it off and turn the key to the on position untill all the indicator lights were out than I restarted it. Appartently that resets the ecm or some bs. It seems to be ok no I dont drive the truck much and I cant get my scanner untill after the holiday.

I took the throttle body off and it was really clean. I didn't need to clean it. Truck has 160,000 miles on it and runs like a top, other than I can't stomp on it or go up a long steep grade at a high rate of speed.... I did notice the plastic on a few coil packs were cracked and the metal was rusted, seen sparks going to valve cover from 2 coil packs. I doubt that is my issue but I am going to replace the coil packs.

The coil wouldn’t put the lightning bolt up
