Alpha-OBD is ok but you need a compatible laptop and USB scanner or android+bluetooth. Dealer level software including programming and more but the UI is complicated but it does support graphing and telling the truck to do maintenance things.
Thanks for this info!

Default Dealer couldn't resolve

Well, the dealer couldn't find the issue, other than to replace the entire wiring harness, and 'retest'. 🤣

Twilight zone here...

Apparently the tech had the same truck. Customers aren't allowed to talk to techs, which is also very frustrating! Apparently he wiggled the harness going through both sides of the firewall and got a reaction. So I suspect mice. Although it's hard to believe anything at this point, also due to not being able to talk to the tech! Anyhow, I guess I'll keep trying to bypass. Going to check the pins at the computer harness for the map sensor.

Also, he got a code p0351 for ignition primary circuit, which checks out fine with every other shop, although some computers show this, mine doesn't. Hmm... Last shop said
The same, that it came up, but ignition system is cherry. Which I know, since I replaced the whole thing. Idk... Faulty rotor? Might as well try for 7 bucks....

If he wiggled the harness at the firewall connector, I think I would pull that, and have a look at the pins on both sides.

Default Got it!

Well, got it, runs perfectly. However, I don't know what the heck I did!

I pulled apart the wiring in the engine bay, at the top of the firewall, looking for splice 132, but I found no slices in there... Don't know what I'm missing here...

I got mildly pissed and shoved the pcm plugs in a little harder, felt the pins, pushed the female ends on the plug in a little. Didn't think any of this did anything though...

Would be great to know what the heck!

Going to tie things back up, tape up my map sensor
bypasses, etc...

Give it a few days, see if it stays fixed, and let us know.

Yes, thanks. I did wiggle the harness, but I don't know what connector, or where... I don't see a firewall connector actually. What am I missing here? 🧐

Splice 130 is on the far right firewall, I wiggled that. Re and re'd the cover.

Thanks again! Don't know where you're located hey you, but thanks so much for your time and input. Just having someone to bounce this off of, with such solid understanding and advice has been very valued. This helped keep me alive and in the game. Pm me if you like, re cabin.

Yes for sure! I'm going to try to see more. I'm hesitant to try to replicate the problem though lol...

I'm in Michigan. The other side of the continent from ya. And another country.... What with the pandemic and all, I am not even sure I could go to Canada....... That, and I don't have a passport.

Lets give it a few days, and see if it well and truly fixed.

And: Happy to help. This was an interesting one.

Alright! Well thanks again. I'm almost expecting it to come back actually. But I hope to God I've narrowed it down. Still, none of it makes sense. The neutral safety switch, the pins thereof, I don't know...

I'm going to very carefully try to replicate the problem. I suspect one of my bypasses wasn't tight enough at first. Which would make sense, and could tie in these other issues, theoretically I guess.

It was "interesting" huh. And it might still be! Anyhow, offer stands! Years down the road, whatever, feel free to reach out. I won't forget this nightmare issue, so you won't have any trouble reminding me who you are 😂
