Yes, I messaged him privately and will also give the credit here....I learned something with my scan tool on this project. I can do a lot more than what I thought with it.

Yep, small % changes is good - means that the factory set fuel configuration tables are working well to maintain proper air/fuel ratio. The much higher (in value) negative trims was the computer trying to compensate for the unexpected extra flow of those aftermarket injectors.

The ELM327 bluetooth obd2 coupled with the Torque app, allows you to see multiple PIDS on the same screen at the same time reference. I've used it to look at RPM, STFT/LTFT, Vacuum, and timing advance as live charts as I'm driving the car. I like charts, but most people use gauges... I like to see the history.

But since in today's world, words are cheap, and video is priceless... here is one of many videos out there that show just some of the stuff you can do with the torque app... ELM237 is about $15 on Amazon, and the app is free, or get the pro version for $5. Best $20 I've EVER spent on auto tools.

Hey Everyone, wanted to follow up on the rebuild since it has been almost 3 weeks since I returned the truck back to service. Well, it seems i do have an issue with the oil pressure gauge. If ya'll remember when I was on a test drive and I came to a stop after a 15-20 mile run, the oil pressure gauge dropped to 0. As soon as I touched the gas pedal it jump straight up and never dropped. Well, it has reared it's ugly head several more times as my son has been driving it. I am getting an oil pressure test kit and will see what happens during a long idle at running temps and several rev's. Hopefully it's just the sending unit. but I want to make sure it's not actually dropping. I put a new Melling oil pump in during the rebuild so Hopefully it was not a bad pump. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Likely just a bad sending unit. That's a pretty standard failure mode for 'em.

Hey everyone, Been almost a month since the 3rd gen rebuild. Glad to report that she is purring like a kitten. We replaced the Oil Sending Unit and that took care of the oil pressure gauge jumping.

Good deal. Always nice when a plan comes together.
