Nitto Grappler 295s v. BF goodrich all t 285s

OK with the help of a bunch of sites I all down to this. I have a 2006 Mega cab. Feel like stock 265/70/17 look small on it. (plus not really a performer)
I am going to add 17x9 Walker Evans rims now do I :
1) MAX out height/width 295/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers (I believe this is the max I can get on 17s without rubbing)
OR
2) 285/70/17 BF goodrich all terrains
I think the Nittos are about an inch bigger
