I have been complaining about how long it takes to cool the truck. Maybe I need to try and do the valve thing, my grandpa has been doing it in his trucks for 20 years

Default Mega cab a/c problems

I am a top of the cummins tech and that leads to the truck side a lot. I just got through pulling the dash and removing the 2 screens in the top of the air box and it works great. Air flow out of dash is good and the air flow out of the rear vents is still good. The a/c system is the same system ford and chevy have been using for years. Compressor, orfice tube etc. The only other problem I have had with the dodges is the compressor coming apart and pushing debris into the condenser. It is also a wise idea to put a piece of window screen right behind the grill to keep road debris from hitting the condenser. remember it is the first thing the air has to flow through. I also tell my customers to externally wash the condenser at least once a year using simple green and a water hose. as the condenser heats up it acts like a magnet for road grime bugs etc. If you do these few things it should work like a champ.

Could be...... Gonna be fun to find that one. Maybe run the engine at high idle in park, with the hood open, see if anything presents itself?
